Checkmate

This week I had the opportunity to collaborate with Old Navy and select a few of my personal favorites from their Old Navy "Preppy line". I fell in love with the sassy winter outer wear pieces due to the updated bold hues and patterns.

This cobalt blue Wool-Blend Peacoat coat is truly the pièce de ré·sis·tance of this styled look.  It is a versatile statement coat that can be dressed up or down. It is also available in a range of sizes from XS - 4X. Old Navy stocks a full range of "plus size" clothing online.

I tend to be an extremely "girly girly" and I pretty much live in skirts and dresses but this week I am actually wearing a pants! That is right Miss Erin is in pants  Pixie Mid-Rise Ankle Pants to be specific. I opted for the black version of the pixie pant due to the slimming and multi-purpose benefits.

I kept my accessories minimal and neutral to maintain the focal point on the bold hue and print of the coat. From head to toe ... I topped off the look with a brightly hued, light weight beanie.  I have shared time and time again my continual challenge to incorporate color into my wardrobe. Layering bright hues on neutral colors is a savvy and effective way to experiment with color and personal style.

I hope this look brightens up your day!
