White lace is a classic and feminine parring currently trending for spring & summer. Styled correctly white can be flattering and lace can be a modern and stylish statement material.
Lace can be woven in an array of intricate patterns and doesn't have to evoke bridal.
The featured by Maeve is currently on sale at Anthropologie. This dress in particular has a gathered waist that cascades into a full and flattering skirt.
The gathered waist assists with the appearance of flattering body proportions. Remember if a form fitting dress does not gather at the waist it often will not flatter the waist. I would advise styling dresses with a belt at your true waist to create this affect.
The Maeve dress showcases a tribal print that I paired with one of my current obsessions cork accessories, which I recently blogged about here. I have been opting for cork pieces as of late as they are unique statement pieces that literally go with everything. Cork is nature's neutral and fortunately countless designers have discovered this and begun to design various accessories with the material.
