Is blogiversary even a word? Maybe not but, I am celebrating a full year of blogging and I am simply thrilled. In that time I have learned so much, experienced amazing moments, and met inspirational individuals. I could not ask for more and would not change a thing. I am extremely grateful and thankful for my friends, family, and blogging community. I cannot thank you all enough for the amazing year! In celebration I have styled a l.b.d. party dress with a few sassy and savvy accessories.

ModCloth Layers

Regardless of the season layers are always a fun way to add a personalized touch to any outfit.
I personally break down layers into three “Style Layers".
Base layers are essentially the foundation to a savvy outfit.Being Southern California based I tend to layer with lighter garments and fabrics that breath. When I am travelling and or cooler temperatures are expected I ensure that base layers are heavier.Opting for materials known for insulation such as wool and if I’m feeling extremely luxurious cashmere.

Focal layers are next and in my opinion this is the layer where fashion statements are made.I truly love structured, bright, and fitted outerwear focal garments.Statement coats and capes are a personal favorite as they leave a lasting impression.

The Top layer is where I go to town prior to hitting the town with accessories.During the fall I enjoy hats, scarfs, and gloves. Anything goes, regardless of what layering items you select ensure you have fun and remain true to your style. Practice makes perfect and the same goes with style layering. So get to it, start layering for a look you will love!

Style Tip:If you know your base layers will be voluminous size your focal layer up accordingly.

Comfy and cozy sweaters are an especially savvy layering option as they are dynamic and function as fashionable focal and base layers. Modcloth has a sassy selection of pull over sweaters, cardigans, and everything in between so be sure to check out their selection for layering essentials this season.

All opinions are my own.

It is no secret that I love a classic body flattering silhouette. I am often drawn to garments that have clean lines and classic shapes. As these pieces tend to flatter an array of body types and withstand the test of time.
When I stumbled upon this A line J.O.A  skirt I was truly inspired to pair it with modern takes on iconic classics. I opted to pull a structured bag, what updates this classic is the ombré finish. When it came to shoes I selected heels with ankle straps because ankle straps are today's T straps of yester year. For my  statement piece I went with jewelry, a a focal point and go for it.
These sassy accessories turn "trendy" into timeless.
