Wanderlust is defined as a strong desire or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world. Lately I have felt a touch of wanderlust, as a result I am headed to London this week. My itenerary will include spending some time in London, England & Paris, France! I will be gone for about two weeks and cannot wait to soak up culture, snap a few selfies and visit friends and family! I will mostly be on the go as I have a ton of savvy sight seeing to do. Be sure to follow along on Instagram: @misserinsays and on Twitter: @themisserinsays to remain up to date on my savvy adventures! I promise to take way to many photos and return as sassy and savvy as ever!
As we all know, traveling requires packing ... the natural question is how do you fit a whole trip's worth of items into a suitcase? The answer is simple: Bring items that are savvy muti-taskers.
My top five savvy packing tips and tricks:
1. Make a list -
When it comes to packing, procrastinating is not sassy or savvy. Start your packing process days or even weeks ahead of your departure date; this gives you time to create a complete list, plus purchase any additional items you might need for your trip.
2. Roll Don't Fold-
By rolling garments you will take up substantially less space when packing. The rolling process will allow you to pack more essentials and key basic pieces that will work as a stylish and Savvy multitasking wardrobe. Plus, Clothing is less prone to getting deep wrinkles from fold creases.)
3. Pack savvy multitasking wardrobe pieces-
This is when we put the day to night looks to work. Layer, combine, layer ... key basics are worth their weight in airline baggage fees.
4. Never check essential items-
It is so important to keep your valuables and essential belongings in your carry-on bag, not in your checked luggage. Your passport, identification, money, credit cards, jewelry, electronics, and other valuables should always be brought onto the plane with you. Remember to be savvy and alert at all times!
5. Charge It-
No, not credit cards, remember we are packing… I am referring to chargers for your phone, camera, I-this and I -that. Ensure that you have all of your electronic cords, batteries, sim cards and chargers in order. Note, a universal adapter is a absolute necessity if traveling overseas..(Savvy tip, avoid roaming charges and explore what services and or accommodations your cell phone carrier provides.)
