Classic Rocker

This time around I wanted to showcase how to incorporate rocker and classic. I wore a classic "A" line dress with an edgy leather jacket & pearls.

A Nordstrom Holiday

I recently had the opportunity to attend a Nordstrom private holiday shopping event. I enjoy holiday shopping parties because let’s face it, I do enjoy shopping but not during the holidays. Finding parking becomes some sort of strange hunger games challenge. People are out in copious amounts with less than pleasant "bah, humbug!" moods. On the other end of the spectrum at shopping events guests tend to be a bit more cordial. Customer service is superior and there is festivity in the air with food, music, and beverages.

Wardrobe Details:
Boots:Tory Burch
Handbag:Louis Vuitton
Cardigan: Banana Republic
Belt:Local Boutique

I jumped right in and began to enjoy the festivities; the event was catered with delicious light bites that servers dispersed throughout the sales floor. The fully stocked bar was conveniently located between designer handbags and the women's shoe department.

Fendi was on hand as a featured brand with a trunk show display that showcased the brands latest holiday collection.
I obviously had to stop by and see what Tory Burch items Nordstorm had in stock. Did you know that some designers including Tory Burch have department store ONLY exclusives. That means even if you frequent your favorite designer boutique you may be missing out on amazing designer finds! So my savvy tip is to ALWAYS see what various department stores have in stock. If you are seeking out a particular item don't be shy, be savvy. Ask the sales associate if they have what you are looking for in "back stock". As returns from various brands that may even be discounted are not usually placed out on the sales floor.
I believe that accessorizing keeps life savvy and hats and scarves make great holiday gifts.
This hat is very similar to the "Lola Felt Floppy Hat" featured on my

Burberry is not one of my "go to" designers however, their holiday spirit is contiguous and the use of red as a "pop" color really is working well for the lines current collection.
Nordstrom decked the halls for this stylish savings event and all of the shoppers were in a festive holiday mood !
I did find a few items to purchase.. I mean after all 'Tis the season!
Thanks for a great evening Norstrom.

Still Fall?

I have decided to post once a week on Wednesday thus creating “ Wardrobe Wednesday”. Fair warning I am NOT a model by ANY means in fact I am very cheesy and awkward when it comes to taking photos. Do not expect high fashion expect more 5th grade yearbook photos, with a huge cheesy grin. After all senior year in high school I was voted “Best Smile” anyhow with no further ado  "Wardrobe Wednesday".
